WD11 Kit Frustrated at the cost and reliability of WD11 tubes and not real happy with the appearance and cost of adapters plus the cost of tubes to use with the adapters, and not finding good substitutes available, I decided to see what I could make on my own.  I wanted a solution that met the following goals: Closely match WD11 Plate current characteristic Control volume via "Battery Setting" (filament voltage) Operate at same voltages as WD11 with no modifications to the radio Closely match WD11 appearance After developing a circuit that met my goals, I designed a PC board and then worked on the physical aspects, the pins, the base and the shell, culminating in the assembled product in the pictures.
